Glueing for veneer

I use veneer for my bracelets and trays.
Most of the time I use PVA-glue for veneering. It is safe, easy to spread and economical.
But when glueing open-pore species like sapele with PVA, I take an extra step to prevent the glue bleeding.
I apply thinned hide-glue to seal the pores and prevent the PVA-glue bleeding through.
Without it, the PVA would seep through to the surface of the veneer [1].

PVA-glue (NATIONAL 290 HR) and hide-glue (ready-mixed animal glue), available at glueguru.
